Raohe Night Market 饒河街觀光夜市

MRT :   Houshanpi Station (後山埤站), walk 5-10 minutes from MRT           Songshan Station (松山站), walk 2 minutes from MRT Train :  Songshan Railway Station (松山火車站) One of other popular night market near Wufenbu ( 五分埔) wholesale garment market.  During every weekend and holiday, the market is often filled with  crowds of tourists and local Taipei citizens who want to try delicious local foods in here.  The most famous food in here is black pepper buns (胡椒饼) , they are absolutely delicious you smell the aromatic when being charcoal-baked. You could see the long line in this stall, the first stall when you enter this market.  Black Pepper Bun (胡椒饼) Pork spare ribs slowly braised in medicinal broth, usually the stall also sell braised pork rice. I love eating this especially in the winter so yummy (^oo^) Ribs Stewed in medicinal herbs(藥燉排骨)

Shida Night Market 師大夜市

MRT :   Taipower Building Station (台電大樓站) exit 3, walk 5 minutes from MRT Shida night market is a popular night market especially for student since it's near  Shida 師大 (short for National Taiwan Normal University). My favorite dish in his night market is L u Wei (滷味),  a mix of meat, tofu, vegetables, dumplings and noodles braised in broth. The dish tastes  really delicious combination of a little sweet, not too salty and spicy if you liked it. Lu Wei (滷味) Don't forget to try butter bun!!  When you bite this bread  is crispy and the inside is soft with all  that cheese is melting in your mouth. It taste delicious and smells good!! When ever I go to this stall, you could see many people queuing to buy this amazing bun.   Butter Bun ( 菠蘿油 )

Danshui Old Street 淡水老街

MRT:  Tamsui Station (淡水站) exit 1, walk 5 minutes from MRT Danshui is a popular market, many Taiwanese would go here enjoying the view and  snacking along the riverside with the beautiful sunset view. We can enjoy many variety of local food around here.  A-gei (阿給) is a speciality food originating from Tamsui District, consists of a piece of fried tofu stuffed with crystal noodles and served with spicy sauce. Enjoy it with fish ball soup and noodles are nice combination. A-Gei ( 阿給 ) & Fish Ball Soup ( 魚丸) I n the roadside many stalls selling fried and grilled squids  which are really delicious. Fried squid ball and mushroom are a must to try in here. Fried Squid 

Shilin Night Market 士林夜市

MRT :   Jiantan Station (劍潭站) exit 1 Shilin night market is the largest and most popular in Taipei. Almost every tourist will go here to find Taiwanese snack in Shilin B1 Market.  The most popularly food in here is the Oyster Omelet (蚵仔煎), which is m ade from fresh oysters, potato starch, eggs and vegetables .  Oyster Omelet ( 蚵仔煎) But of course there are many other foods and snacks you should try.  Deep-fried cheese potato (起司馬鈴薯),   potato fried then fill with bacon, ham, corn, pineapple, broccoli, mayonise, sausage, hard boiled egg, etc. Finally, add two spoons of hot cheese on top of it. Food Hunting in Ximending Taipei "Little Tokyo"

Ximending is a very popular and crowded district in Taipei, many people called it  "Harajuku of Taipei" and "Shibuya of Taipei". It is located near  MRT X imen Station ( 西門站) exit 6.  Nearby you might find many hotels, clubs, karaoke palace and of course many stores for shopping or stall that sell handmade products.  You can find many type of entertainment around here, including street singer, artist, performance. In some special weekend like ghost month or Halloween, many people dressed up scary or people using cosplay really interesting area.  Red House - 西門紅樓 Just wandering around and shopping is not complete without foods hahaha :). I have been here many times, so I've tried many food from street food, small stall and restaurant in the area. Watami - 和民台灣 (Revisited)

MRT :    Ximen Station ( 西門站) , see the website detail for other branch Location :  Walk 5 minutes from MRT Price :  average 300-500 NTD/person Website :   http://www.watami.com.tw/ Experienced :  Highly Recommended Menu :  Japanese Cuisine Its a very nice comfort restaurant and the foods absolutely delicious. Love the beef bowl and sukiyaki (I forget to take a picture coz I ate it right away after the waiter put it in the table). Don't forget to leave some space for the toast dessert really nice to complete your meal with it.

Citystar 24HR HK Style Restaurant - 京星港式飲茶

MRT :   Zhongxiao Dunhua Station (忠孝敦化站) , see the website detail for other branch Location : Walk 5 minutes from MRT Price :  average 300-400 NTD/person  Website :   http://www.citystar.com.tw/ Experienced :  Recommended Menu : HK style cuisine, Dim sum Love the dim sum in this restaurant, a nice place to gather with your family and friends.

San Fa HK Style Restaurant - 祥發·港式茶餐廳

MRT :    Ximen Station ( 西門站)   Location :  Walk 10 minutes from Ximen MRT Price :  average 200-300 NTD/person Experienced :  Recommended Menu :  HK style cuisine My Taiwanese friend invited us to eat lunch in this restaurant. They specialty is HK style cuisine and the  foods are delicious. I like most everything fried rice, noodles, fried chicken, roast duck, tofu and etc. Too bad they don't have any dim sum.

Ay-Chung flour rice noodle - 阿宗麵線

MRT :    Ximen Station ( 西門站)   Location :  Walk 5 minutes from Ximen MRT Price :  average 50-65 NTD/person Experienced :  Highly Recommended Menu :  Noodle Ay-Chung flour rice noodle is a popular food stall in Ximending area, they sold very  thin rice noodles (or vermicelli) soup with pig's intestines called mian xian (麵線) . The noodle absolutely delicious just don't forget put chili and vinegar on top of it, stir and eat it while still hot. Many Taiwanese people eat while standing in front of the store. 

Euro Deliz - 歐德利餐廳

MRT :   Jiannan Station (劍南站), see the web for other store Location :  Miramar Mall Price :  average 300-700 NTD, vary based on your order Website :   http://www.eurodeliz.com/ Experienced :  Recommended Menu :  Salad, Soup, Main Dishes, Pasta, Pizza, Ice Cream A nice restaurant inside the Miramar Mall, the food and service are quite good. The dinner set menu comes with bread, salad, soup, drinks and one scoop ice cream. I prefer the salmon and ribs than chicken pesto with fillings.

Journey Kaffe - 覺旅咖啡

MRT :   Xihu Station(西湖站) Location :  Walk 5-10 minutes from MRT  Price :  average 200-300 NTD/person Website :   http://journeykaffe.wix.com/journeykaffe Experienced :  Recommended Menu :  Bakery, Brunch, Salad, Pasta, Wrap A really nice cafe in Neihu area, love the foods and breads in there. Make sure you come early because no reservation you have to wait the queue. On weekday, we came there twice and have to wait 45 minutes because its near office area so many people go there on lunch time.

Orange Cobo - 橘子工房

MRT :   Zhongxiao Dunhua Station (忠孝敦化站) , see the website detail for other branch Location : Walk 5 minutes from MRT Price :  average 300-400 NTD/person (all you can eat) Website :   http://orangecobo.com.tw/Smile/index.html Experienced :  Recommended Menu : Pasta, Fry Food, Main Dishes, Cakes, Dessert This restaurant have other branches called Apple Cobo and Berry Cobo. If you go there on  afternoon  and dinner time, it's buffet time ^^. The foods are pretty good, the cakes and dessert are also nice.
