The cold winter is the perfect season for strawberries, one of the best times to appreciate the taste of strawberries, the freshness and sweetness of it. You might want to consider Dahu area where you can visit strawberry farms. Just for a heads up and tips before going for picking strawberries:
Dahu is known as strawberry capital. You should also visit the Strawberry Cultural Hall which consists of a shop selling all kinds of strawberry goods, a small museum and restaurant. You will know you arrived in there if you see the "giant" strawberry.
I'm really in the strawberry's mood when I arrived there. There are many stall that sell products that contain strawberry such as strawberry sausage, strawberry puff, strawberry meatball, fresh strawberry with condensed milk, strawberry shaved ice, and many other delicious products. And of course the gift shop full of many strawberry products start from egg roll, candy, jam, biscuit, nougat, cake, etc.
1. Get there as early as possible especially on holiday and weekend, since many visitor will come around that time. If you came late you might get disappointed because all the big and red strawberries are gone.
2. You should find a smaller farm so you might get a little bit cheaper than the others
